ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) in Astoria, OR, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support a large ENT practice. The role requires patient reception, exam room assistance, void of HIPAA issues, and daily in-office lab testing with EPIC EMR proficiency.

The schedule includes weekday shifts with potential variance based on physician availability; one must deliver high-quality patient service and collaborate with clinicians to ensure efficient visits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person or by phone
• Route inquiries and direct to appropriate channels
• Prepare patients for appointments by guiding them to exam rooms
• Verify and record patient information including medical history
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare lab specimens and perform basic in-office testing
• Maintain sterile instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
• Educate patients on medications and give instructions
• Document examinations, treatments, and test results
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure equipment functions
• Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Job Description: ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation's largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Astoria office.

Hourly: $23/hr

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person or by phone
• Respond to or route inquiries appropriately
• Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms
• Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in-office lab testing
• Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies
• Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed
• Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience

Education / Certification Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA
• Bachelor's degree in Biology
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
• Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant

Schedule Monday: 11:30am-8:00pm Tuesday: 11:30am-8:00pm Wednesday: 11:30am-8:00pm Thursday: 11:30am-8:00pm Saturday: 7:30am-4:00pm ***Please note that this schedule will change based on the Physician's schedule.***
