Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking compassionate Medical Assistants to join our team at Briarwood Center for Women, Children and Young Adults. The role focuses on high-quality care, accurate patient intake, and efficient clinical operations.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, vitals, record preparation, injections and vaccines where applicable, and coordination of administrative tasks within the ambulatory care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or current enrollment in healthcare coursework.
• Knowledge of clinical workflows and basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Respond to general patient inquiries about clinic operations within scope.
• Room patients (virtual and in person) and perform standard intake including vitals and histories.
• Obtain medical records and prepare reports for appointments as needed.
• Conduct room turnover and prepare/clean/stock exam spaces and equipment.
• Administer medications per standing orders and Ambulatory Care policies.
• Perform basic laboratory/POC testing and assist providers as trained.
