Job summary

The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is seeking a Medical Assistant Associate for the West Ann Arbor Health Center – Parkland Plaza. This full-time role supports clinical and administrative workflows, assists with procedures, takes vitals, and prepares rooms for patient care in a busy ambulatory setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and complete MA training (or are enrolled in related programs). EMT/CNA/MA certification is preferred; MiChart experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or enrollment in related clinical training.
• 1–3 years of experience in clinical workflows and patient care preferred.
• EMT, CNA or MA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with clinical procedures and direct patient care.
• Take vitals and document in MiChart; prepare patient rooms.
• Administer injections and immunizations per policy.
• Manage patient forms, consent and instructions; monitor patient status.
• Support regulatory readiness and participate in quality improvement activities.
