Job summary

Mays & Schnapp Neurospine and Pain is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support patient communication, procedure readiness, and care coordination within our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The role covers phone triage, preprocedure prep, and postprocedure follow-up to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include documenting patient information, coordinating with the ASC nursing team, and escalating clinical concerns to RN or provider as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience in ASC, pain management, or procedural settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient calls, document concerns, and route to RN or provider.
• Coordinate preprocedure tasks, collect meds, allergies, and health changes.
• Assist with postprocedure follow-up and discharge instructions per protocol.
• Manage ASC voicemails and messages in the EMR system with accuracy.
• Support patient intake, chart updates, and coordination with teams.
