Essentia Health's Deer River Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant Apprentice, Medical Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Family Practice team. The role involves direct patient care under supervision in an ambulatory setting, with a Monday–Friday schedule, no holidays or weekends.

The position emphasizes a learning path through the Clinic Assistant Training Apprenticeship, certification timelines, and collaboration with RNs and providers.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in Minnesota or Wisconsin, or current MA registration/certification.
• Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant program and must become certified within one year of hire.
• BCLS certification must be current or obtained within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, Physician and other providers with direct patient care in ambulatory setting.
• Perform identified procedures as competencies are demonstrated.
• Care for patients from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category.
