Job summary

Western Wisconsin Health is seeking a Medical Assistant youth apprentice to join our patient care team. The role blends administrative and clinical duties, from basic office procedures to assisting in the exam room and performing simple lab techniques.

The apprentice will gain hands-on experience under supervision while supporting daily clinic operations. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, entering data into the EMR, and assisting physicians with routine exams.

Qualifications

• Must be a High School junior or senior.
• Current WI CNA Certification required.
• BLS Certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Capable of following infection prevention controls and standard precautions.
• Ability to schedule appointments and maintain patient records.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, height, and weight.
• Document patient data in the EMR and prepare exam area.
• Assist physicians with routine examinations and testing.
• Support administrative duties and patient communications.
