Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers offers a 12-month, paid Medical Assistant Apprenticeship designed to launch a lasting career in community health. Apprentices complete 2,000 hours of paid clinical training while taking structured coursework to prepare for the CCMA exam.

Apprentices work with seasoned care teams in a patient-centered medical home model, supporting providers and ensuring high-quality, respectful care for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to commit to the program.

Responsibilities

• Support providers in delivering care and patient flow.
• Room patients, obtain vitals, and assist with exams and procedures.
• Track clinical quality measures and coordinate care as part of the team.
• Administer immunizations within scope and support team-based care.
