Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Washington State is recruiting for a Medical Assistant Apprentice. This 12–15 month program prepares participants to take the CCMA exam and earn MA-C credentials through an approved state apprenticeship.

Apprentices will complete 2000 hours of on‑the‑job training (paid) with guidance from an MA coach and 364 hours of coursework. Expect a fast-paced clinic with bilingual patients and a strong emphasis on quality care.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• BLS/CPR required (or within 90 days of hire).
• Ambulatory or family medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in EHRA.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations within MA-A scope.
• Coordinate referrals, labs and specialty care.
• Support providers seeing 18–21 patients per day.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
