Job summary

Sea Mar in Marysville, WA is seeking a Medical Assistant Apprentice (MA-A) to join a busy primary care team. The program blends paid on-the-job training with classroom work to prepare you for the CCMA exam.

The apprenticeship spans 12–15 months, includes 2000 hours of clinical training, 364 hours of coursework, and hands-on practice under a skilled MA coach. Starting wage is $21.30 per hour with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• BLS/CPR required (or within 90 days of hire).
• Ambulatory or family medicine experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits, obtain histories and vital signs.
• Track and document clinical quality measures in the EHR.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and charting.
• Administer medications and immunizations within MA-A scope.
• Coordinate referrals, labs, and specialty care.
• Support providers seeing an average of 18–21 patients per day.
• Provide excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
