Job description

Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available. Minimum team member availability of 2 shifts (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) per week required (32 hours per 2-week pay period).

Available Days: Monday - Friday

Core Hours: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

This position provides clinical support to healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services. Team members hired into the Ambulatory Resource Center will provide temporary clinical staffing support at 200+ Corewell Health West ambulatory practices across the system. Assignments vary from 1 day to 3-4 months, covering leaves of absence, open positions, etc. Some travel to various sites around West Michigan is required, but team members will not travel over 45 miles (one way) from their home address.

Essential Functions

1. Rooming patients (obtaining vitals, chief complaints, medical histories, medication reconciliation)
2. Preparing patients for exams and assisting physicians during exams
3. Performing Point of Care (POC) testing, electrocardiograms (ECGs), wound care
4. Preparing and administering medications, including immunizations/injections
5. Updating patient electronic medical records (Epic)
6. Cleaning and stocking rooms
7. Answering phones and creating patient encounters
8. Managing prescription medication refills and other clinical administrative tasks (chart prep, Epic In-basket management)

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required
2. Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program required
3. 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting preferred
4. Within 120 days: AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA certification required
5. Within 120 days: BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
