Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital in Ellsworth, Maine, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under clinical direction and office leadership. Responsibilities include routine patient intake, vital signs, chart prep, point-of-care testing, and ensuring patients understand their care plan.

The role requires CMA/RMA certification or eligible, knowledge of EMR systems, and strong communication.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CMA or RMA certification or registered medical assistant preferred.
• Proficient in vital signs, medication reconciliation, venipuncture and EMR usage.

Mansioni

• Collect vitals and patient history accurately.
• Perform venipuncture, label and deliver specimens, immunizations as ordered.
• Maintain patient plan of care and educate patients.
• Document care in medical records and ensure timely communication with the team.
• Support administrative tasks and coordinate patient care and referrals.
