Job summary

CLS Health is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant to join our Allergy Clinic team in a dynamic, patient-centered environment. You will welcome patients, document histories, and support clinicians during allergy evaluations and skin testing.

We value enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and teamwork. Allergy experience is a bonus, but training is available; prior MA experience in clinical settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Experience with allergy skin testing and immunotherapy injections is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for appointments creating a warm experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs, histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers during allergy evaluations, skin testing, patch testing, and in-office procedures.
• Learn to assist with allergy immunotherapy treatments and injections as permitted by clinic protocols.
• Educate patients on testing, treatment schedules, medications, and instructions.

What You'll Be Doing

Patient Care & Clinical Support

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for their appointments while creating a warm and friendly experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers during allergy evaluations, follow-up visits, skin testing, patch testing, and other in-office procedures.
• Learn to assist with allergy immunotherapy treatments and administer injections as permitted by applicable regulations and clinic protocols.
• Monitor patients following allergy treatments and promptly communicate any concerns to the provider.
• Educate patients on allergy testing, treatment schedules, medications, and provider instructions.

? What Makes You a Great Fit?

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR).
• A genuine passion for patient care and teamwork.
• A cheerful, personable attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Allergy or immunology experience is a bonus, but not required!
