Job summary

Access Community Health Network in Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a collaborative care team, assist providers with onsite procedures, take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, and support patient questions and scheduling. Training with Epic EMR is provided to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications include a Medical Assistant diploma, CPR/BLS, and 1 year of experience or externship; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Evening and Saturday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant diploma from an accreditedprogram
• CPR/Basic Life Support Certification
• Minimum of one (1) year experience or clinical externship
• Basic proficiency withEMR (Epic preferred)
• Ability to work some evenings and Saturdays
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in collaboration with a skilled care team that includes dedicated providers, benefits specialists, front desk receptionists, behavioral health consultants and others to provide quality health services and resources to meet our patients’ needs.
• Assist providers with onsite procedures.
• Take vital signs, perform phlebotomy and administer medications/vaccines directly to patients.
• Assist patients by responding to questions, returning calls, scheduling appointments and reviewing medical records.
• Continue to grow your knowledge base through extensive clinical training and technical training with Epic, one of the leading Electronic Medical Record Systems globally.

The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
