Phoenix House in New York City seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical services and perform medication audits as trained, ensuring accuracy and patient confidentiality.

This full-time role includes data entry into the EMR, answering phones, scheduling, coordinating hospital admissions and lab services, and maintaining patient records with care and professionalism. A high school diploma and 2 years in a healthcare setting are required, with MA program graduation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the (self) administration of medication to patients.
• Transcribes medication orders and monitors medication records for compliance.
• Perform accurate and complete audits of medication transported, received, administered, stored or disposed, as trained, and assigned.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and conduct in accordance with Phoenix House medication policies and procedures.
• Enter data into computer EMR software.
• Answering telephones and scheduling appointments.
