The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate EPIC EMR documentation, and participation in quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes, with a possible schedule of four 9-hour days and a half-day option depending on clinic needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate/certificate from a recognized medical assisting program or a HS diploma/GED with one year of MA experience in a physician practice within the last three years.
• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas, including cleaning and stocking supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the provider during ambulatory visits and procedures.
• Facilitate patient visits and coordinate routine lab tests and referrals.
• Contribute to quality outcomes initiatives for the patient population.
• Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Support clinic flow by managing rooming and patient throughput.
• Possibility of four 9-hour days and a half day option.
