Description
Seeking a Medical Assistant for the Ellenville, NY medical office. The Medical Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the nursing and medical provider staff while assisting and performing prescribed set of duties in the provision of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Scribe and enter patient history, physical information, mediations, allergies and family history on the Electronic Medical Records system. Assist patients in filling out questionnaires.
- Perform and record vital assessments such as vital signs, weight, height and promptly reports abnormalities to medical provider
- Assist in the office by checking in patients, updating insurance information and check outs
- Maintain and monitors stock inventory and replenishes supplies in exam rooms. Report any malfunctions, missing or damaged equipment to the Regional Nurse Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and an accredited Medical Assistant certificate/program.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and intake procedures
- Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic life support certification
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Ability to provide patient care with attention to detail
- Previous experience in a hospital setting
- Dermatology or urgent care experience is a plus
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
