Job summary

Optima Medical, an Arizona-based medical group with 30 locations, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care across our clinics. You will record vital signs, perform procedures, draw blood, and assist with scheduling and charting under physician supervision.

Requirements include 1+ year of clinical MA work and EMR experience (eClinicalWorks preferred); CMA or Medical Assistant diploma required, HS diploma or GED also accepted.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• At least 1 year of EMR experience; eClinicalWorks preferred.
• High level of professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Medical Assistant Course Completion Diploma or CMA designation required.
• Must have HS diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history.
• Clean and prepare exam rooms prior to/following patient appointments.
• Able to perform various medical procedures such as EKG, PFT, Ear Lavage etc.
• Administer injections and take blood draws.
• Assist with patient scheduling, follow up, and provider charting as needed.
