Job summary

Optima Medical in Arizona is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our busy practice. You will record vitals, prepare exam rooms, and assist with procedures such as EKG and PFT while supporting scheduling and charting needs.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of MA clinic work and EMR experience (eClinicalWorks preferred). A CMA or CMA-equivalent certification and a HS diploma/GED are required for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• EMR experience; eClinicalWorks preferred.
• High level of professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Medical Assistant Certification CMA or CMA designation required.
• Must have HS diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history.
• Clean and prepare exam rooms prior to/following patient appointments.
• Able to perform various medical procedures such as EKG, PFT, Ear Lavage etc.
• Administer injections and take blood draws.
• Assist with patient scheduling, follow up, and provider charting as needed.
