Job summary

Optima Medical in Arizona is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care at one of our clinics in Cottonwood. The role involves collecting vitals, preparing exam rooms, and assisting providers with procedures and charting.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, EMR proficiency (eClinicalWorks preferred), and a CMA or MA diploma/certification. A fast-paced, patient-focused environment and opportunities for career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical MA experience.
• At least 1 year of EMR experience, eClinicalWorks preferred.
• Medical Assistant Course Completion Diploma or CMA designation required.

Responsibilities

• Record patient vitals, weight, and medical history changes.
• Clean and prepare exam rooms before/after appointments.
• Perform procedures such as EKG, PFT, and ear lavage.

Medical Assistant Job Responsibilities

• Record patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history
• Clean and prepare exam rooms prior to/following patient appointments.
• Able to perform various medical procedures such as EKG, PFT, Ear Lavage etc.
• Administer injections and take blood draws.
• Assist with patient scheduling, follow up, and provider charting as needed.

Medical Assistant Job Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical work experience as a Medical Assistant
• At least 1 year of EMR experience; eClinicalWorks preferred.
• High level of professionalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Medical Assistant Course Completion Diploma or CMA designation required.
