Job summary

Community Care Physicians is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the Vascular Health Partners office in Latham, NY. You will document patient conversations in the records, maintain patient flow, and prepare patients for visits per provider requirements.

Responsibilities include obtaining specimens, accurate lab order entry, and assisting with EKG/PFT procedures. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00am–4:30pm) and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience in medical/clinical setting preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Familiarity with medical charting/records and Allscripts is a plus.

Our Vascular Health Partnersoffice is looking for afull-time Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are: Monday thru Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities:

• Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Requirements

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
• Experience with Allscripts is a plus!
