Job summary

Community Care Physicians in New York is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the Weight Management and Metabolic Health office. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.

You will document conversations into patient records, maintain patient flow, prepare patients, obtain specimens, enter lab orders, and assist with exams and procedures. Compensation is $17.00-$22.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays, PTO, and

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
• Experience with Allscripts is a plus!

• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
• Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
