Job summary

Community Care Physicians in Clifton Park, NY is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Family Practice team. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

The ideal candidate will have high school diploma, medical support experience, and certification preferred. Responsibilities include patient intake, specimen collection, lab entry, and assisting providers during exams. We offer a comprehensive benefits package in a professional setting.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
  • Ability to establish cooperative relationships with patients and staff.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
  • Experience with Allscripts is a plus.

Job description

Our Family Practice Clifton Park office is looking for afull-time Medical Assistant to join their team! The hours are:Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Document verbal conversations and information into the patient records in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
  • Maintain timely patient flow.
  • Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
  • Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
  • Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
  • Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. EKG, PFT, etc.).
  • Assist providers with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
