Job summary

Community Care Physicians in Colonie, NY is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Family Practice team. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. You will document conversations in patient records, maintain patient flow, and prepare patients for visits per provider requirements.

Responsibilities include obtaining specimens, lab order entry, and assisting with examinations and procedures. Prior phlebotomy experience and Allscripts familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous medical/clinical experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, families, members, physicians/providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers.
• Maintain strictest confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
• Experience with Allscripts is a plus!

• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

CCP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
