Job summary

Children’s Medical Center in Tampa is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support the Patient-Centered Medical Home team. The role provides clinical and administrative support to providers and patients to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Update medical records including medications, allergies, and visit reason.
• Assist with clinical procedures (labs, immunizations, screenings, treatments) and support providers.
• Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up (including no-shows).
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and preventive health.

Position Type: Full Time

Salary Range: $16.61 - $18.00 Hourly

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our Patient-Centered Medical Home team. This role provides clinical and administrative support to providers, patients, and care team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Evening and weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams; obtain and document vital signs
• Update medical records, including medications, allergies, pharmacy, and visit reason
• Perform standing orders and assist with clinical procedures (labs, immunizations, screenings, treatments, etc.)
• Support providers during exams and procedures
• Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up (including no-shows)
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and preventive health
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills
