Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Part-Time Medical Assistant for a long-standing plastic surgery practice on Long Island. The role offers a guaranteed minimum of 3 days per week, with shifts on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 1-2 Saturdays per month.

Typical hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM, and the position is fully onsite in Syosset, NY. You will schedule appointments, support providers, and help deliver an excellent patient experience from initial consultation through follow-up.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong customer service and patient care skills.
• Experience with appointment scheduling and multitasking.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, aesthetics, or a med spa is highly preferred.
• Professional communication skills and a positive attitude.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syosset, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
