Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Part-time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in Suwanee, GA. You will provide hands-on patient care, including vital signs, injections, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing, while also supporting front-desk activities and medical records.

The role emphasizes a 3-day schedule, patient-centered care for 10–14 patients daily, and mileage reimbursement for travel to client sites; bilingual Vietnamese is a plus.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization or a Certificate/Diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with externship completed.
• Current certification with hands-on training in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications including injections; perform lab tests; operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as state regulations permit.
• Perform administrative tasks, assist at the front desk, schedule appointments, follow-up calls, and order supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As aPart Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Suwanee, GA.

• Flexible 3-day schedule: Enjoy a consistent Monday & Wednesday schedule plus a flexible third day, with a preference for Tuesday or Thursday—great for MAs looking for meaningful part-time hours without a traditional 5-day schedule.
• Strong clinical focus with variety: Spend approximately 70% of your time providing hands‑on patient care, including full patient workups, triage, venipuncture/phlebotomy, injections, point‑of‑care testing and medication support, while also having the opportunity to assist with administrative needs.
• Build relationships beyond the clinic: Support an average of 10–14 patients per day in a patient‑centered environment and occasionally visit nearby client sites—with mileage reimbursement from the home site to the plant site. Bilingual Vietnamese skills are a plus!

What You’ll Do

• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow‑up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
