Job summary

OrthoArizona is hiring Medical Assistants for the Scottsdale area. The role involves preparing patients for exams, assisting in procedures, and maintaining EMR documentation. A strong emphasis is placed on accuracy, patient care, and teamwork with physicians and nurses across clinics.

Ideal candidates will have an MA program credential, CPR, and at least one year in a medical office, with EMA/ModMed experience preferred. A $500 signing bonus is offered after a 90-day probation period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office.
• 1+ year using an EMR; ModMed/EMA experience preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
• EMA EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vitals and recording patient history.
• Input and maintain EMR documentation.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked.
• Assist in procedure rooms, receive IV training and start IVs.
• Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and treatments.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining records.
• Monitor voicemail and phone calls and manage patient communications.
