Job summary

OrthoArizona is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our elite team of orthopedic specialists in Chandler, AZ. The role involves travel with the physician to multiple clinics within the Greater Phoenix area, preparing patients, handling EMR documentation, and supporting the medical team in procedures and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience in a medical office.
• 1+ year using an EMR with ModMed / EMA experience preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vitals and recording patient history.
• Input and maintain appropriate EMR documentation.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
• Assist in the procedure room with procedures, receive IV training and certification and start IVs.
• Support physicians and nurses during patient examinations and treatments.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and monitoring voicemail and phone calls.
