Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in a full-time, in-person capacity in Sanford, NC. You will support clinicians, document patient histories, and assist during exams to ensure high-quality care.

You should be a compassionate professional with CMA/CCMA/RMA certification and BLS, ready to contribute to patient-centered care and continuous improvement initiatives within our healthcare network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is Required.
• Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
• Active CMA/CCMA/RMA certification is required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and documents basic medical history.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents medical necessity in the medical record.
• Assists during medical examinations.

What we're looking for- a compassionate medical assistant with a deep understanding of physician practices and patient care.

Applicants Should Have

• High school diploma or equivalent is Required.


• Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required


• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is required upon hire.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of hire.
