Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our inpatient/outpatient care team. This full-time, days schedule position offers a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

As a CMA, you will collect patient histories, assist during exams, document medical necessity, and support clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Strong communication and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited medical assisting program.
• Active CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required upon hire.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and documents basic medical history.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents medical necessity in the medical record in a timely manner.
• Assists during medical examinations.

How You'll Contribute

• Accurately identifies patient needs and documents basic medical history.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record

What we're looking for- a compassionate medical assistant with a deep understanding of physician practices and patient care.

Applicants Should Have

• High school diploma or equivalent is Required.
• Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent Required
• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 60 days of hire.
