Job summary

The Primary Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for PHN Mercer Primary Care in Mercer, PA. The role supports clinical and front desk duties as part of a healthcare team, with standard hours and no weekends.

Starting wage is $17.00 per hour, with wage reflecting experience, education and site location. Ideal candidates will be graduates of an approved Medical Office Assistant program or LPN, or have two years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Office Assistant program or LPN, or 2 years in a clinical setting.
• Infection control and strong clinical knowledge.
• Administering medication.
• Venipuncture and injection experience preferred.
• Experience calling prescriptions under a provider's direction.
• Computer proficient.

Location: Mercer County

Position Overview

Assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting which may include both clinical and front desk duties.

Location and Hours of Position

PHN Mercer Primary Care 737 Greenville Road, Mercer Pa 16137

Office hours:

• Monday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm

NO WEEKENDS

Compensation

Position starts at $17.00, however, PHN recognizes experience, education and site location when determining wage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school Medical Office Assistant or LPN - and/or two years' experience in a clinical setting
• Infection Control and strong clinical knowledge
• Administering Medication
• Previous venipuncture and injection experience preferred
• Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a providers direction
• Computer proficient
