Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Dignity Health Medical Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to keep the day-to-day operations smooth for patients and the clinical team.

You will proactively prepare patient charts, ensure up-to-date information for daily visits, assist during examinations, retrieve equipment, and complete forms per protocol, with a focus on compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and a graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or completion of an U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program
• Demonstrated experience with computer programs utilized for checking-in and scheduling patients
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - BLS

Responsibilities

• Maintains hospital standards of zero tolerance for mislabeled specimens and collects laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol
• Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies
• Assists in patient/equipment preparation
• Performs follow-up actions as directed
• Completes hospital forms per protocol

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.

Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.

Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
• Previous experience in designated specialty
