Job summary

Rothman Orthopaedics is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant in Chalfont, PA. The role supports physicians with administrative and clinical duties, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with travel to regional offices as needed.

Responsibilities include patient greeting, vitals, injections preparation, charting, and coordinating pre-certifications for imaging and procedures. OSHA-compliant waste handling and instrument sterilization are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Active National Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology.
• Computer skills including MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room.
• Maintains order, cleanliness, and inventory in the exam room and prepares it for patients.
• Cleans and autoclaves instruments.
• Provides and scans proper paperwork into the chart for physician review.
• Obtains and records vitals per physician request.
• Prepares injections for the physician per protocols.
• Pulls up x-rays, MRI, CT scans and reports pertinent to the patient exam.
• Assists patients with clothing and handles disposal of biohazard waste per OSHA guidance.
• Answers phones in patient treatment areas and handles front desk communications.
• Reviews schedules and ensures chart readiness including operative reports and studies.
• Completes pre-certifications for MRI, injections, and other orders as needed.

This position requires travel as needed to offices within the region.**Schedule:** Monday through Friday 8 AM to 430 PM**Job Summary:**The Medical Assistant provides assistance to the Physician and Physician's Assistant with daily administrative and clinical duties.**Key Accountabilities:**Increase patient satisfaction, compliance with schedule prep, voicemail, accurate end of day batching, compliance with time stamping, compliance with clinical policies and procedures, wait times, timeliness and accuracy with pre certs and authorizations **Essential Duties:*** Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room.
