Job summary

Parkland Specialists, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an experienced Medical Assistant for a full‑time daytime schedule (Mon–Fri). Join a supportive team delivering quality patient care.

Duties include preparing patients for exams, taking histories and vitals, setting up rooms, assisting with minor procedures, injections, lab testing and phlebotomy. Qualifications: accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months of direct clinical care; MA certification within 12 months if not certified; active

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months of direct clinical patient care.
  • Candidates without MA certification must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Recent graduates must obtain clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Active MA certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare exam rooms, maintain instruments, and ensure sterility.
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
  • Answer calls and screen referrals for the practice.

Job Summary

Parkland Specialists, part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare, is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant. This full‑time position (Monday‑Friday, daytime only) offers a supportive team environment and opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms, including instrument setup, maintenance, and sterilization
  • Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen referrals
Required Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program OR twelve months of direct clinical patient‑care experience in a healthcare setting OR current Medical Assistant certification
  • Candidates with one year of medical work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Certification within one year of hire date
  • Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR‑OE credentials are highly preferred
