Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our team across our Northbrook, Skokie, Gurnee, and Barrington clinics. You will greet patients, document vital signs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, and maintain EMR records with accuracy.

You will work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment with bilingual support when needed, contributing to high-quality, compassionate care close to home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience in a medical setting.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program; CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical data in the EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information in EMR/EHR.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high-volume patient flow.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details:

• Location: This position floats between our Skokie, Northbrook, Gurnee and Barrington clinic locations.
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $20-$24hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required.

• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such asvital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or currentCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
