Job summary

USA Vein Clinics in the Chicago area is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinics and healthcare team across Skokie, Elmwood Park, and Belmont locations. You will greet and room patients, take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen collection, and document everything in EMR/EHR systems.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of hands-on MA experience, completion of an MA training program and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is required.
• Completion of an MA training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing/customer service experience in a fast-paced environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories in the EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Document patient interactions and clinical information in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver excellent patient service while managing high patient volume in a clinical setting.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, etc.).
• Support patient care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, and hospitals.
• Leverage bilingual communication to support patient interactions when applicable.

Position Summary:

As aMedical Assistant,you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details:

• Location: This position floats between our Skokie, Elmwood Park, and Belmont clinic locations.
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $20-$24hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent,required.

• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician),required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such asvital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection,required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or currentCMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,required.
