Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians across our Northbrook and nearby clinics. You will greet patients, room them, document vitals, and assist during procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The role requires 1-2 years clinical experience, completion of a MA program or CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred, and bilingual communication when applicable. Competitive hourly pay, full-time, with benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience in patient care.
• Experience performing vital signs, rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients, delivering a welcoming experience.
• Document patient vitals, histories, and clinical data in EMR/EHR systems.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen collection, and related tasks within scope.
• Document interactions accurately in EMR/EHR.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team and ensuring a smooth workflow in our clinics. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians during medical procedures, managing patient interactions, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Position Details

• Location: This position floats between our Skokie, Northbrook, Gurnee and Barrington clinic locations
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
• Compensation: $20-$24hr based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR)
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
