Job summary

USA CLINIC SL currently seeks a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs with efficient clinic workflow and to support physicians before, during, and after procedures. You will strive to ensure each patient has an outstanding service experience in a busy outpatient setting.

The role requires hands-on clinical duties, proficiency with EMR/EHR systems, and strong bilingual communication in Spanish and English. Training is provided, with a focus on compassionate care and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and sample collection.
• Document patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR.
• Deliver exceptional patient service in a fast-paced clinic.
• Support patient care using EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks).

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures - before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details

• Schedule: Must be available to work Sunday through Friday, with shifts scheduled as needed between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
• Location: Float position supporting our clinics at Pennsylvania Ave, Flatbush, Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay as needed
• Language Requirement: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required.
• Paid Training (2-4 weeks)
• Compensation: $20-$25/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required.
