Job summary

USA Clinics Group is actively seeking a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient clinic workflow while supporting physicians before, during, and after procedures. You will ensure patients have an excellent service experience and smooth EMR documentation.

The role requires National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant status, with bilingual English/Spanish abilities, and flexibility to cover multiple Bronx/Yonkers locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 1-2 years hands-on clinical experience as Medical Assistant or similar role, required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in EMR/EHR
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and others within scope
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
• Support patient care within healthcare settings including physician offices, clinics, urgent care, hospitals, or home health
• Leverage bilingual communication to support patient interactions when applicable

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures - before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details

• Location: This is a float role, candidate must be able to commute to clinics based in the Bronx / Yonkers (Will review clinics during the interview)
• Schedule: Full-time, hours vary between 7am-7pm; must be able to work weekends
• This position requires to be National Registered / Certified Medical Assistant
• Spanish and English speaking required
• Cath Lab experience, Preferred.
• Compensation: $20-$25/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
