$19.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Pride Health is hiring a medical assistant to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in New York City, NY. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care Support: Assist with procedures (venipuncture, EKGs), patient flow, specimen collection, vital signs, and physician assistance.
• Clerical and Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, handle forms, enter orders into EMR, and assist with scheduling, insurance verification, and pre-certifications.
• Inventory and Equipment Management: Order, restock, and maintain medical supplies; ensure proper setup and sterilization of exam rooms.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols, adhere to PPE requirements, and ensure compliance with legal and infection control standards.
• Surgical Coordination and Other Duties: Schedule surgeries, prepare necessary forms, perform phlebotomy, and handle additional assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED with completion of an approved Medical Assistant certificate course.
• BLS - Basic Life Support

Location: New York City, NY

Job Type: Contract

Schedule: 5 x 8 Rotating

Pay Range: $20/hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
