Job summary

Primary Vascular Care in New York, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant/Front Desk coordinator to join our caring team. You will support recovery areas, assist clinicians, and help coordinate patient care across our Brooklyn and Bronx centers.

The role requires at least 1 year of patient care, BLS certification, and a willingness to travel between centers; a car is preferred. You will ensure HIPAA compliance, maintain documentation, and contribute to a compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of patient care experience required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Vaccinations up to date: PPD/TB, Hep B, MMR, Varicella.
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations preferred.
  • Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
  • Willingness to travel between multiple Vascular Care Centers.
  • Comfort working in patient recovery settings.
  • Strong assessment skills and ability to collaborate in a team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a car.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication of protocols, policies, and workflows within the Vascular Care Center recovery area.
  • Provide post-procedure care addressing comfort, safety, dressing, and nutritional support.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians, nurses, and patients to promote collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patients’ procedures daily.
  • Support registered nurses during examinations and procedures.
  • Assist in lifting and transferring patients to and from stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Help restock medical supplies and maintain a sterile environment.
  • Dispose of biohazardous materials per regulations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work additional hours if needed.
  • Uphold professionalism with patients and team members.
  • Comply with HIPAA and office safety protocols.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:
