Job summary

HP2 Integrative Wellness is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our private practice in California. You will support clinicians by rooming patients, taking vital signs, updating histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures.

Daily duties include managing patient flow, assisting with injections or specimen collection under supervision, and keeping exam rooms clean and stocked. Administrative tasks cover scheduling, insurance verification, medical records, and EHR

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; MA certification preferred.
• Experience in a medical office including scheduling and patient communication.
• Ability to learn new clinical software quickly.
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Company Description HP2 Integrative Wellness is a well-established family medicine and wellness private practice caring for patients from adolescents to seniors. Our mission involves the offering of services and products in the promotion of healing, wellness, and sustainability. The team includes one board certified family medicine physician, one physician assistant, three medical assistants, and one naturopathic doctor.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role located in San Clemente, CA. The Medical Assistant will support clinicians by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Daily responsibilities include managing patient flow, assisting with clinical tasks such as injections or specimen collection under supervision, and ensuring exam rooms and equipment are clean and stocked. The role involves performing administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, managing medical records, and assisting with electronic health documentation. The Medical Assistant will contribute to a patient-centered environment that supports lifestyle medicine, integrative care, and clear communication with patients and the care team.

Qualifications

• Clinical support skills, including Medical Assisting and patient care, with the ability to work safely under clinician supervision.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately communicate clinical information and document patient encounters.
• Experience in a Medical Office setting, including scheduling, phone communication, and coordination of patient visits.
• Ability to manage and maintain Medical Records, preferably within an electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with a respectful and inclusive approach to all patients and colleagues.
• Basic proficiency with computers and clinical software; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures
