Job summary

South Lyon Family Docs Pc is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant to join our busy family medicine practice in Michigan. You will work as part of a collaborative team, room patients, document histories, and assist providers during visits, while maintaining a clean, organized environment.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, performing injections and EKGs, managing prescriptions, and upholding HIPAA and infection control standards. Prior MA experience is a plus; ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program is required.
  • Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with an EMR system is preferred.

  • Document patient history and chief complaints in EMR.
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist during visits.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and point-of-care testing as directed.
  • Perform EKGs, ear irrigations, and other procedures within scope.
  • Handle prescription refill requests and patient phone messages.
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness and stock supplies.
  • Follow HIPAA and infection control procedures.
  • Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure efficient care.

About the Position
