Job summary

Aktiv Insight is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Charlotte, NC. You will greet patients, record vital signs, prepare them for exams, and support providers during procedures.

If you have a high school diploma, MA certification, CPR/BLS, and experience with EHRs, you will thrive in our fast-paced clinic and help deliver compassionate patient care while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant certification required or preferred per state.
  • Experience in a medical office or clinic preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients professionally.
  • Take and record patient vital signs and medical histories.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Assist providers during exams and minor procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, wound care, and other duties as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care.
  • Communicate with pharmacies, laboratories, and other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Clean and maintain exam rooms and clinical equipment.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
  • Provide patients with clear instructions and a positive experience.

About the Role
