Your Job :

Our Medical Assistant NCT works under the general direction of the physician with the assistance of the clinical coordinator if applicable; reports directly to the office manager. You will provide healthcare to individuals and families as instructed by the physician; perform routine clinical procedures as directed by the physician; participate in patient education; document appropriately in patients' health records; and perform all other duties within your certification scope.

Your Job Requirements :

• 1-3 years healthcare-related experience in your field.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Current approved medical assistant credential or credential obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current NCT permit through the Texas Medical Board.

Your Job Responsibilities :

• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and exercise discretion when discussing patient information.
• Implement patient care and follow-up, including notification of lab results, tasking messages, phone calls, and updating patient information under the guidance of physicians and/or the practice manager.
• Perform intramuscular, intradermal, or subcutaneous injections with complete documentation.
• Assist physicians and/or other MAs in providing nursing care according to clinic policies and procedures.
• Take patient history and vital signs.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge and practice of infection control procedures.
• Clean and disinfect all instruments and maintain QA reports for the autoclave.
• Autoclave weekly or biweekly depending on demand.
• Perform nurse/injection-only visits with proper documentation.
• Perform all X-rays and PFTs.
• Prepare FMLA forms and other documents for physician review and signature, such as home health and prescription pre-certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
