Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant in Maple Grove, MN. You will interview patients, take vital signs, and maintain health records in our on-site health center.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization or equivalent.
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS for health care providers is required.
• CMA certification from recognized certifying bodies or approved by the Board of Medical Examiners.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs.
• Maintain patient health records and documentation.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications including injections and perform lab tests and EKGs as permitted by state regulations.
• Perform administrative tasks at front desk, schedule appointments, and order supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Maple Grove, MN.

Schedule

• Mon & Wed 7:00 am - 5:00 pm; Tue & Thu 8:00 am - 6:00 pm; Fri 7:00 am - 11:00 am
• NO Weekends, NO Holidays
• EXCELLENT WAGES

Documentation Requirements

All required credentials and education must be verifiable and supported by appropriate documentation. Candidates will be required to provide copies of their applicable certification, certificate/diploma, transcripts, and BLS certification as part of the pre-employment credentialing process. Please ensure you have the required documentation readily available.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
