Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant in Hamilton, OH. You will provide patient care and support in our Health Center, with flexible clinic hours including 4-10s or 5-8s.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, maintaining records, preparing rooms, administering medications, and assisting at the front desk. Certification and BLS are required, with CMA accreditation preferred.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization.
• Current certification with hands-on training in BLS/CPR from an approved provider.
• State Lab Certification (NV only) to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• CMA certification from a recognized certifying body.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records with up-to-date information.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications including injections; perform laboratory tests and EKGs as allowed by state regulations.
• Provide front desk support: schedule appointments, follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Hamilton, OH. Schedule:

• Flexibility to Build Schedule During Clinic Hours (4-10's or 5-8's)

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted.
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required.
• State Lab Certificate (NV only, must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only) .

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $20.70 - $23.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
