Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in McLean, VA. You will care for employee patients and dependents, perform vital signs, take medical histories, and support front-desk operations.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting with hands-on externship is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA/ARC or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accuracy.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Administers medications including injections and performs lab tests and EKGs as allowed by state law.
• Performs front desk duties, schedules appointments, and orders supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in McLean, VA.

Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday 8:00a - 4:30p, Friday 7:30a - 4:00p

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
