Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Pleasanton Health Center. You will provide compassionate care to client employees and their dependents, with M-F 8-5 schedule and a February 2027 start.

You will interview patients, measure vital signs, maintain health records, prepare treatment rooms, and assist with injections, labs, EKGs, and essential diagnostics. The role includes front desk support, appointment scheduling, and supply management; a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• National or Premise Health approved MA certification with externship completed
• Current BLS certification required
• State Lab Certificate (NV) optional
• CMA certification for SC region is preferred

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height)
• Maintains patient health records and ensures accuracy
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Administers medications including injections; performs labs and EKGs as allowed by state laws
• Performs front-desk tasks: scheduling, follow-ups, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education

National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed

Current certification with hands-on training in BLS (AHA/ARC or equivalent)

State Lab Certificate (NV only)

CMA certification (SC only)

As a Full-Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Pleasanton, CA. The scheduled hours are M-F 8-5. PLEASE NOTE: This role will start in February 2027

What You'll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $27.20 - $34.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
