Job summary

Texas Health Care PLCC in Mansfield, TX is seeking a CMA/RMA-certified Medical Assistant to greet patients, document vitals, assist providers and maintain EMR records in NextGen.

The role requires 3 years of primary care experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required. Flexible scheduling with occasional Saturday clinic coverage.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA or RMA certification.
• 3 years of experience in primary care.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
• EMR/EHR experience with NextGen is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical history and reason for visit.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments and minor procedures.
• Administer injections and perform EKGs, venipuncture and other lab procedures as needed.
• Maintain patient records in the EMR system.
• Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked and set up.
• Support quality improvement initiatives like patient recall and screenings.
• Assist with scheduling referrals and prior authorizations.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.

• Assist providers with examinations treatments and minor procedures
• Administer injections and perform EKGs venipuncture and other lab procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record EMR system
• Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the provider
• Ensure exam rooms are clean stocked and properly set up
• Support quality improvement initiatives including patient recall preventive screenings and care gap closures
• Assist with scheduling referrals and prior authorizations as needed
• Follow infection control and safety procedures

Job Requirements

• Must have a CMA or RMA current certification
• 3 years of experience in primary care
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Previous EMREHR experience with NextGen is a plus
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
• Bilingual in EnglishSpanish preferred but not required

Hours

Monday Thursday 715 am 400 pm Friday 715 am 245 pm must be flexible and available for Saturday clinic at least once a month from 8am 12pm
